Centurion Announcements for the Week of May 18th

The EOY testing begins next week - Encore classes finals will take place May 18th and/ May 19th and the Social Studies Finals will be place on May 20th. EOG Reading May 28th, EOG and Science Finals on May 29th and the EOG Math and EOC Math 1 on June 2nd. Getting a good night's rest, eating a good breakfast helps students maintain focus. These exams are worth 15 percent of the final grade so encourage your child to do their very best.

Field Day is Thursday, Field Day Finals is Friday. We are excited for students to enjoy this special event. Please be reminded that students who owe more than $50 in fees will need to have their fees paid to participate. Check Infinite Campus under fees to see your child's school fees balance and also be mindful of any reminders you may have received on cafeteria balances.

Our school nurse will be sending home information about medication pick up. Any medicine not picked up by the end of the day on the last day of school will be discarded.

Remember, clubs and study hall have concluded for the school year.

The New Century Middle School PTO needs you! All board positions-P resident, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary-are open for nominations. Whether you want to run for office, join a committee, or help with events, there is a role for everyone. Please use this google form for nominations. Voting will take place at our final PTO meeting on May 27th.
Cheer tryouts
Coach Dolan is set to hold tryouts on May 18th, 19th and 21st from 3:15 - 5:30pm in the NCMS gym. Current NCMS students will receive try out bands during their lunch. Rising 6th grade students need to stop in the front office to collect a try out wrist band the afternoon of tryouts.

Las pruebas de fin de año (EOY) comienzan la próxima semana: las finales de las clases de Encore se llevarán a cabo el 18 y/o 19 de mayo, y las finales de Estudios Sociales serán el 20 de mayo. Las pruebas EOG de Lectura serán el 28 de mayo, las finales de EOG y Ciencias el 29 de mayo, y las pruebas EOG de Matemáticas y EOC de Matemáticas 1 el 2 de junio. Dormir bien por la noche y tomar un buen desayuno ayuda a los estudiantes a mantener la concentración. Estos exámenes valen el 15 por ciento de la calificación final, así que anime a su hijo(a) a dar lo mejor de sí.
El Día de Campo (Field Day) es el jueves y las finales del Día de Campo son el viernes. Estamos emocionados de que los estudiantes disfruten de este evento tan especial. Les recordamos que los estudiantes que deban más de $50 en cuotas escolares deberán pagarlas para poder participar. Revise la sección de "fees" en Infinite Campus para ver el saldo de su hijo(a) y también tenga en cuenta cualquier recordatorio que haya recibido sobre los saldos de la cafetería.
Nuestra enfermera escolar enviará a casa información sobre la recogida de medicamentos. Cualquier medicamento que no se recoja antes del final del último día de clases será desechado.

Pruebas de Animadores (Cheer tryouts)El entrenador Dolan llevará a cabo las pruebas los días 18, 19 y 21 de mayo de 3:15 a 5:30 p. m. en el gimnasio de NCMS. Los estudiantes actuales de MCS recibirán sus pulseras para la prueba durante el almuerzo. Los estudiantes que ingresarán a sexto grado deben pasar por la oficina principal la tarde de las pruebas para recoger su pulsera.
